Service For Dreamers is an application that is geared towards first generation students, students that do not have a mentor or familiy member to guide them in their search for a post secondary institution to attend. At this moment it uses the Colorado Marketplace API to provide graduation data from post secondary public institutions in Colorado. This app also uses GoogleMaps API to display the location of the institution and it provides general detail information such as address, phone number etc. Future iterations will provide a sample scholarship collection, important conact information and cost of attendance pertaining to the search.
This app was built using the following: Ruby, JavaScript, Rails, jQuery, HTML, CSS, Materialize, SASS, GoogleMaps JavaScript API, Colorado Information Marketplace API, RSpec, Capybara, PostgreSQL, Selenium, Google OAuth 2.0.
